My good friend and neighbor, Violet Utopia, is currently working on a fantastic new show that could only be dubbed "insane" (in the most delicious and exceptionally creative way, of course!). Violet recently premiered a portion of the work-in-progress in his apartment to packed audiences (and when I say "packed," I REALLY mean it). I had the pleasure of doing live mixing of sound and providing some music and sound effects of my own.
Violet plans to produce the full show in late Spring of 2010 in San Francisco. In the meantime, check out the trailer!

I am working on a solo record, entitled The Dust and the Bloodlets. I have been working it on it for quite some time (we're talking years, here). It's proven difficult to do something well when 1) there are so many other projects to be done simultaneously, 2) you're in DIY-mode, but don't entirely know what you're doing, and 3) the necessity of money-making for survival always gets in the way. After a lot of hair-pulling, I've decided to put the completion of the record on hold. I'm itching to start playing again, so I'm in the process of getting these songs (plus a few others) ready for live performance (thank you, Max for Live!). Hopefully you'll be seeing me around town at the beginning of 2010. And shortly thereafter, I will forge ahead and finally finish this beast!
